The 12th Edition of Kora Awards 2012 finally got underway Sunday night following last minute glitches that got the event to be postponed when headliner Chris Brown missed his flight to Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

The all Africa music awards saw musicians across the continent being awarded in the 24 category awards ceremony.

The top act Chris Brown performed at the FHB Stadium in Abidjan at a peace concert organized earlier the day [crowd was not as many as expected].

Later at the main event, the “With You” singer appeared on stage with his dancers. Chris wore a white V-neck T-shirt on top of a black jean and also wore a black cap.

It was also attended by girlfriend Rihanna and there were also top performances from traditional African acts and Afro-pop stars from Ivory Coast and across the continent.

However, Ghana’s representatives in the persons of King Ayisoba [Best Male Traditional], Koo Nimo [Best Male Traditional], Fuse ODG [Best Male West Africa] and Skuulfo (Nacy) [Best Male Gospel] all fell short at the night winning nothing in their various categories.

Kora Awards 2012 was supported by RTI, MTN, Coca-Cola Zero, Yeshi Group, CFI, District O’Abidjan, Nostalgie, Air France, Sococe, Medi@Store and Hotel Ivoire .

Full winners of the awards ceremony will follow very shortly on www.GlitzGhana.blogspot.com
