Nana Ama McBrown Speaks

Beautiful actress Nana Ama McBrown who was involved in a horrific accident early Wednesday morning, has finally said a few words after being silent since the unfortunate incident. Nana Ama who is presently on sick bed at the 37 Military Hospital, was able to say a few words to through her publicist Eugene Osafo-Nkansah when he visited her this morning at the health facility.

“I’m fine, I’m okay tell everybody that I’m alright by the grace of God”, Nana Ama said as he held Eugene’s hand with a smile on her face. Nana Ama who has currently been moved from the Intensive care Department to a private ward says to thank all Ghanaians, her friends, family members and her fans all over the world for their support and love in such a time she needs it most.

Nana Ama thanked Almighty God for saving her and her boyfriend Maxwell from such deadly accident. She said it is by miracle that they are still alive looking at the extent their new Black Range Rover was damaged and the impact of crash and the kind of injury they sustained. “I Thank God Almighty for saving our lives, I thank you all, I’m alive and safe. All I need is prayers”.

The only injuries the actress is nursing presently are minor cuts she sustained on her arms from the broken glasses from the window of the Range Rover and an x-ray on the arm shows that fracture was not as severe as reported in the media. At the time of the visit this morning, P.O.P had been applied on her right arm right from beneath her armpit down to her wrist.

This puts to rest false rumors making rounds in the media that the renowned actress will have her arm amputated and those grapevine reports of her death. Meanwhile her boyfriend Maxwell Mensah who also has fractured right arm was discharged on Wednesday evening and he is expected to visit the hospital on daily bases until he fully recovers.

Eugene has debunked some media reports that suggest that Nana Ama was in the car with three other people at the time of the accident. He insists that he was the only person in the car with McBrown and that he was the one driving adding that anything either than the information he has given is totally untrue irrespective of the source.

The ill-fated incident happened early Wednesday morning at about 2am on the Abeka Lapaz stretch of the N1 Highway in Accra. Nana Ama and her boyfriend Maxwell Mensah driving a black four-wheel-drive Range Rover with a temporary licence plate number DV8460 was heading from Osu towards their residence in Mallam.

On approaching the Lapaz traffic lights which were then blinking amber, another vehicle, a taxi cab with licence plate number GR 9922- R approached from the left side and rammed into the Range Rover. They were rushed to the 37 Military Hospital, where they are both receiving treatment.

Police has identified driver of the Opel Vectra taxi cab which crashed into Nana Ama’s vehicle as John Kofi Dogbevi owner of a popular chop bar “Berima Nkwan” located in Lapaz. According to the Police they are yet to trace which hospital John Kofi Dogbevi was taken to for further details.
